What is the development plan?
The zoning allows for 15 accommodation units that will take advantage of the property’s beautiful ocean and mountain views. There is also a plan to rebuild the Thatch Pub.

What will the beach homes look like?
The accommodation units will all be approximately 1,000 square feet with 2 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms.

The complex is designed by local Comox Valley company MacDonald Hagarty Architects Ltd. who recognize the beauty the island has to offer. Their design takes advantage of the spectacular views, but also incorporates green initiatives that set Hornby Island apart from the rest. This includes green roofs, south facing windows and implementing energy and water conservation measures.

Is this a strata unit?
The units will be sold as a strata ownership, which is title to your own unit, plus ownership and use of all common areas. The adjoining strata lot will rebuild the long-standing "Thatch Pub" taking advantage of its proximity with the ferry terminal. It is a location that boasts a fantastic waterfront dining and socializing venue.

Is there moorage available?
Yes, moorage for your boat will be available.

Can we rent out our units?
Yes! There will be an option to put the units into a rental pool. This will allow owners to receive rental money when they are not using their unit.

How much are the units?
Prices will be starting at $600,000+. The plan is to start construction in Spring 2021 with completion of phase 1 in the Fall of 2021.

How do I purchase one of these beach homes?
